Abstract
Adolescent assessment should be based on knowledge of the developmental tasks and normative behavior of this age group. Strategies for interviewing adolescents and special interventions are reviewed. Ways to handle confidentiality are discussed. Clinical work with adolescents requires a high degree of self-awareness and self-observation because of adolescents' often provocative behavior. Keywords
