Die Kristallstruktur von MnIn2Te4, eine neue Ordnungsvariante für Defektzinkblendephasen / The Crystal Structure of MnIn2Te4, a New Type of Ordered Defect Zincblende Phases

Abstract
MnIn2Te4 was prepared by direct synthesis from the elements at 800°C. The crystals are tetragonal, space group I 4̅ 2 m, with a = 6.191 Å, c = 12.382 Å, and Z = 2. The structure can be derived from the zincblende structure. It is related to the CdGa2S4 and β-Cu2HgJ4 type structures with the same ordered arrangement of vacancies. In MnIn2Te4, however, the different cations are distributed randomly over the occupied tetrahedral sites.
