Abstract
Spatial distributions of dose in water were calculated for plane perpendicular and point isotropic sources of low-energy electrons (0.5-10 keV). Also calculated were dose distributions from .delta. rays produced along the path of a 1 MeV proton. In these dose calculations, a partial wave analysis was used to compute the elastic scattering cross sections and a moments method was used to solve the transport equations. Doses from the plane perpendicular and point isotropic sources agree well with Monte Carlo results. Doses calculated for .delta. rays differ considerably from earlier theoretical and experimental results. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
