Abstract
INTRODUCTIONThe Web presents the database area with vast opportunitiesand commensurate challenges. Databases and the Webare organically connected at many levels. Web sites are increasinglypowered by databases. Collections of linked Webpages distributed across the Internet are themselves temptingtargets for a database. The emergence of XML as thelingua franca of the Web brings some much needed orderand will greatly facilitate the use of database techniques tomanage Web information....Keywords
