Detection of Individual Gas Molecules by Graphene Sensors
Abstract
The ultimate aspiration of any detection method is to achieve such a level of sensitivity that individual quanta of a measured value can be resolved. In the case of chemical sensors, the quantum is one atom or molecule. Here we report graphene-based devices that are capable of detecting minute concentrations of various active gases and allow us to discern individual events when a molecule attaches to the sensor's surface. Keywords
