Abstract
Calculations of the anisotropic de Haas-van Alphen lifetimes in dilute alloys based on silver and gold are described and compared with the available experimental results. In the case of gold alloys, an attempt has been made to fit the experimental data with the theoretical expression of dHvA lifetime by treating the alloy dependent functions as parameters. The use of a truncated Fourier series expansion for representing the dHvA lifetimes over the Fermi surface is discussed. Keywords
