Abstract

"The evidence indicates that the more insecure a person is, the closer he tends to see objects. The objective content of the stimuli is not necessarily coercive for the perceptual process. It would appear rather to be the nature of the situation coupled with the experiential background (personality and expectancies) of the perceiver which govern his perceptual process."
