Abstract
Knee arthrography in the pediatric patient can be performed without heavy sedation or general anesthesia. Lateral meniscus tears predominate over those of the medial meniscus. The most common lesions found are tears of the lateral meniscus, osteochondritis dissecans, and lateral discoid meniscus. Congenital or developmental factors apparently contribute to half of the demonstrated lesions. Extra-articular causes should be sought in the very young child with a locked knee. Keywords
