Dislocation Loops in Fission Fragment Bombarded Lead Iodide

Abstract
Bombardment of thin crystals of lead iodide with uranium fission fragments does not produce distinct linear tracks but randomly distributed dislocation loops which are inclined to the surface of the crystals. These loops are formed by the aggregation of highly mobile point defects. Further point defects are produced by high intensity electron beams and the original loops are observed to move and grow, eventually coalescing.This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
