Abstract
Modulation coupling between electron upper-hybrid modes and ion modes propagating nearly perpendicular to the axial magnetic field is shown to be effective in collisionless and semicollisionless regimes. A complete probeless feedback stabilization scheme based on such mode coupling is described. Keywords
