Abstract
Enhancement of blood flow and decline of serotonin content of the rat thyroid occurred within minutes after iv injection of TSH to intact rats sensitized by thyroxine pretreatment. The increased vascularity was maintained through at least 4 hr. after hormone administration, accompanied by an increase in thyroid water demonstrable by 2 hr. Participation of liberated vasoactive amines in TSH action is postulated. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
