Abstract
A 15-year retrospective study of 713 patients having surgical treatment for peptic ulcer was carried out. A comparison of gastrectomy with vagotomy and drainage was made. The ways in which other factors may affect the outcome were also studied. The results are discussed and some conclusions drawn. Keywords
