Abstract
We have presented four cases of infarcted appendices epiploicae. Because the clinical picture can be confusing, the diagnosis is frequently delayed or missed. Removal of the infarcted appendix results in cure, with no reported cases of recurrence. The disease can be fatal, four deaths having been reported in the literature. Keywords
