Abstract
In a recent paper, Tsugawa et al. presented experimental observations on the rate of outgassing of glass microspheres. They compared the data with predictions from Fick’s law and found a clear qualitative disagreement. It is shown here that their results appear to be consistent with a permeability which, instead of being constant at fixed temperature, is a linear function of the pressure difference across the glass. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
