Abstract
The influence of Rn and thoron [Tn] exhalation from the walls and the air-exchange upon the Rn (222Rn)- and Tn(220Rn)-concentration indoors was studied. On the basis of a simple room model the degree of equilibrium between Rn, Tn and their decay products, free and attached fraction, was calculated. These calculations were performed under consideration of the measured natural radioactive indoor and outdoor aerosol size distribution, the known attachment rate of the uncombined decay products, the experimentally evaluated recoil factor and an estimated deposition rate on the wall surface. Keywords
