Abstract
AT the London meeting of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene on December 17, 1915, Dr. George Low described a patient of his who had recently returned from India. Although the signs and symptoms noted resembled those of a chronic upper respiratory infection, the patient also had an eosinophilia, with a count of more than 5000 per milliliter, and there was no clue to the nature or cause of the disease.
