Abstract
Thickening and sclerosis of the chordae tendineae of the mitral valve are seen fairly frequently in hearts that are not ordinarily considered to be rheumatic. In this report a systematic study of these lesions is presented. Factors involved in their pathogenesis and their significance in the development of the chronic rheumatic deformity are discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
