Selective chemotherapy in relation to the site of tumor transplantation

Abstract
Sarcoma 180 and Ehrlich carcinoma maintained in the ascitic form were transplanted subcutaneously, intraperitoneally and intracerebrally. The same tumor transplanted in different sites showed a different sensitivity to the same chemotherapeutic agent. Cyclophosphamide and sarcolysin were active on subcutaneous and intraperitoneal, but not on the intracerebral tumors. On the other hand, I‐methylnitrosourea was effective only on the tumors transplanted intracerebrally.
