Abstract
Polypyrrole/polyethylene composite films were prepared by vapor phase polymerization of pyrrole on porous polyethylene films using iron(III) chloride as an oxidant. By drawing the films before or after the polymerization of pyrrole, anisotropy in electrical conduction was observed parallel and perpendicular to the drawing direction. The effects of drawing on the conductivity and the mechanism of conduction are discussed in terms of the temperature dependence of the conductivity. Keywords
