Abstract
The genus Haplopoma Levinsen contains four known species: H. impressum (Audouin), type species; H. planum sp. nov.; H. graniferum (Johnston); H. bimucronatum (Moll). These species, which have been extensively confused in the past and often collectively called impressum, show distinctive characters of morphology, ecology and distribution. All are described and illustrated, and a key to species is provided. Keywords
