Rezidivierendes hypoglykämisches Koma infolge Abbaustörung von Tolbutamid

Abstract
Bei einer 64jährigen Diabetikerin kam es nach Tolbutamid zu rezidivierenden, protrahierten, schweren hypoglykämischen Reaktionen. Aufgrund der um das Fünf- bis Sechsfache verlängerten Serumhalbwertszeit von Tolbutamid muß als Ursache eine metabolische Abbaustörung des Medikamentes angenommen werden. Recurrent, protracted and severe hypoglycaemia occurred in a 64-year-old woman after she had been given tolbutamide. The half-life of tolbutamide in the patient's serum was found to be five to six times normal values: it is assumed that this delay was caused by an abnormal breakdown of this drug. Coma hipoglucémico recidivante a consecuencia de un trastorno catabólico de la tolbutamida En una diabética de 64 años de edad aparecieron graves reacciones hipoglucémicas, recidevantes y prolongadas tras la tolbutamida. Debido a la constante de semidesintegración sérica de la tolbutamida, prolongada de 5 a 6 veces, se tiene que admitir, como causa, un trastorno metabólico en la degradación del medicamento.
