Abstract
Three patients with "inhibited" ovulation and hyperthecosis ("Stein-Leventhal syndrome") had hypertrichosis. In one, the 17-ketosteroid excretion was slightly elevated; in the other two it was normal. Following subtotal oophorectomy one patient improved; the other two were not benefited as to hypertrichosis. Keywords
