Abstract
The ECE 15 automotive emission control standards are reworked to derive vehicle emission rates (g.km‐1) for HC, CO and NOx emissions in a manner that is consistent with US EPA CVS‐C/H exhaust emission standards. Various technical and empirical factors in the US EPA program are reworked to the ECE 15 basis and used to derive and assess the emission rates for vehicles for British fuel quality and operating conditions. This is extended to cover diesel engine emission rates for HC, CO and NOx emission. Tabulated adjusted emission rates are given for use directly in environmental studies of UK urban road traffic conditions. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
