Abstract
The study of ultra-thin sections (under the transmission electron microscope) of exine from Oculopollis parvoculus Goczan and O. semimaximus W. Kr. shows (a) that the oculus could be considered as the expansion of simpler structures at the apertural level, (b) that the tectum of the fossil Angiosperm pollen grains could have several structural origins.
