Abstract
In situ observations of the amalgamation of Ag3Sn are presented. It is shown that the product γ1(Ag2Hg3) and γ2(Sn7−8Hg) phases nucleate homogeneously and heterogeneously, respectively, from a liquid Ag−Sn−Hg solution. The growth of the γ1 phase is shown to be proportional to t1/3 while that for the γ2 phase is proportional to t1/2.This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
