Abstract

Admin-istration to rats of an anterior pituitary extract produced changes in serum proteins and glycoproteins. The globulins, especially the [alpha] 2 and gamma-components showed an increase while the albumin fraction remained at its normal level. The protein-bound carbohydrates showed a change parallel to that of the proteins.
