Abstract
Heteropoly acid efficiently catalyzed the addition reactions of water and carboxylic acid to phenylacetylene to form acetophenone at 60°C in the liquid phase. The higher catalytic activity of heteropoly acid compared with H2SO4 and HClO4 is due to the cooperative action of heteropoly anion. Keywords
