Abstract

Using a contactless measuring method we have investigated the electrical resistivity in the binary system potassium/cesium as a function of temperature and composition. Below 190 K, the isotherms of the resistivity versus the concentration show minima at the composition of the compounds K₂Cs and K₇Cs₆. The sensitivity of the experimental method is sufficient to reveal details of the phase diagram.
