Cardiac activity and attitude.

Abstract
Measured the changes in base-line heart rate and in heart rate variability of 21 male Canadian undergraduate volunteers while listening to a pro-French and pro-English speaker. Ss then evaluated each speaker on a 7-point semantic differential scale. It was found that base-line heart rate variability and change were predictive of attitude, while heart rate levels were not.
