Abstract
A study has found that, initially, transracially placed children are more maladjusted than their inracially adopted peers. Yet, when age at placement is taken into account, the differences disappear. Thus, transracial adoption may continue to be a viable option for the many nonwhite children awaiting placement. Keywords
