Abstract
The limited nature of fetal death data indicates the improvements which could be made in registration. Consideration of the problems affecting incomplete and inaccurate registration is particularly pertinent because of impending revisions of the standard certificates. Coincident with these revisions, all states will be reviewing their birth and fetal death certificates as well as others. The educational processes which attend such revisions present unusual opportunities to press for improved registration on all fronts: complete registration, complete records, and accurate and reliable information. Progress must involve close relationships with and understanding of the problems of the originators of the documents: physicians, hospital personnel, and funeral directors. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
