Abstract
Extracts of Ekofisk and Stratfjord crude oils (North Sea), solutions of Corexit 9527 (oil dispersant) and mixtures of these pollutants were tested for 2 wk on zygotes and germlings of F. serratus in culture. Mortality decreased with age and increased with concentrations of pollutants. Growth was either activated or reduced by pollutants. Effects on morphology were not important.
