Abstract
Ultrastructural evaluation of endomyocardial biopsy specimens is a sensitive and effective method with which to detect and quantitate cardiotoxicity produced by anthracylines. The procedure and grading system used at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center are described, and some of the pitfalls that may be encountered by the electron microscopist are reviewed. Keywords
