Abstract
The distribution of 9 spp. of grasshoppers is mapped and the plant communities are classified; the effect of recent physiograph-ical changes on these distributions is discussed. Degree of wetness, vegetation height and density and type of plant community are among the factors determining the distribution of spp. Geological differences within the area and the % of occupation by the grasshopper population as a whole are discussed.
