Abstract
A case is presented in which the 2nd and 3rd exposures to halothane were followed by fever, eosinophilia, and delayed manifestations of hepatic dysfunc?tion. Eight similar cases were reported. Such examples constitute the most suggestive evidence of a causal relationship between halothane administration and hepatic necorsis. Problems concerning the evalua?tion of this association are discussed. The incidence of this illness may be greater than is generally appreciated. Central reporting facility could expedite the accumulation of data necessary to establish this association, and its incidence. Keywords
