Abstract
For Proctor barley, the varietal constant of 112.5 is proposed for use in the extract prediction equation. Tentative proposals for other new varieties are: Domen and Provost, 112.5; Ingrid, 112.0; Maythorpe, 111.0; Carlsberg II, 109.5. For Domen and Carlsberg II, these figures are only valid for nitrogen contents of 1.4-1.8%.
