Nonwoven Fabric Studies Part XV: The Application of the Fiber Network Theory

Abstract
The stress-strain curves of several bonded fiber fabrics have been theoretically determined from measurements of the properties and arrangement of the constituent fibers, and these curves are compared with the measured fabric stress-strain curves. The results demonstrate how the behavior of the fiber network can influence that of the fabric and indicate that the behavior of the binder must be introduced for a complete explanation of the fabric behavior at high strains.
