Abstract
The time-correlation functions of fluctuating partial polarisations in dielectrics are derived from macroscopic constitutive equations and the fluctuation-dissipation theorem. The author considers in particular the two-species case of slow permanent dipoles coupled to a high-frequency polarisability. Fluctuation theorems are derived for the dipole moments of macroscopic spherical regions. The results are compared with those obtained by other authors. Keywords
