Enhancement effect of magnetostrictive waves by magnetic pulses

Abstract
It is experimentally shown that the response of the magnetization of a ferromagnetic rod to a low‐intensity pulsed magnetic field does not consist of an exponential decay alone, but also of a damped oscillation, if the combination of bias and pulsed fields is used. As a matter of fact, magnetoelastic waves propagating in the solid are observed as well as effects of interference.
