Abstract
Ashing‐and atomisation curves of chromium and lifetime of uncoated and pyrocoated graphite tubes were determined. Interferences such as background absorption and the influence of acids, cations and chlorides on the atomisation of chromium were studied. Acids, recipients and homogenisation can be major sources of contamination; contamination by dust particles in the laboratory was found to be neglegible. Keywords
