Vascular Density Coefficients in Normal Human Retina and Relationship to Distance From Disc

Abstract
The coefficients of vascular density in the normal human retina as a function of the distance from the disc have been studied. It appears that the density is higher in the temporal sector than in the nasal sector, which is itself higher than in the superior and inferior sectors. The decrease of the vascular density is equal in the four sectors of the retina. The vascularization is one quarter as dense in the equatorial retina as around the disc.
