Bistability effects in cooperative multiphoton ionisation

Abstract
Using the Bonifacio-Lugiato model of bistability, the author shows that bistability in a collective atomic system will greatly affect the multiphoton ionisation rate of that system. Results are shown corresponding to two possible experimental measurements.Keywords
