Abstract
The electron microscope has been used in connection with photographic technique to make quantitative measurements of electron emission from the oxides of barium, strontium, and calcium. The instrument proves to be an excellent emission comparator. Time lapse exposures allow the observation of activation processes in detail. The emitting properties of barium compounds other than the oxide are compared. Keywords
