Detection of Coxiella burnetii in ticks collected in Slovakia and Hungary

Abstract
A total of 235 adult ticks collected from vegetation in Slovakia and Hungary in 1998–2000 were tested for Coxiella burnetii by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). C. burnetii was identified in six ticks of Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor marginatus, and Haemaphysalis concinna species.Keywords
