Abstract
The cellulose is decomposed rapidly by a mixed natural flora under optimum conditions. The hemicelluloses decompose rapidly for a few days and then very slowly or remain almost at the same level. The loss of uronic acid from the straw during the experiment is about 50%. The pectins remain rather constant during the decomposition. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
