Abstract
The electron temperature of a propagating flame of an n-Hexane-air mixture was measured using the double probe method. The observed electron temperature showed two peaks nearly at 10,000°K∼15,000°K. Assuming that the electron temperature in the flame front should be in equilibrium with that of the activated particles in the burning process, the activation energy of the chemical reaction of n-Hexane-air was calculated, and the following value was obtained, E=30∼45 Kcal/mol.
