Abstract
A 3-year-old-girl is described who had marked local atrophy at the site of an intragluteal injection of triamcinolone acetonide. The atrophy began to improve spontaneously after 6 months, and by 14 months the buttocks appeared normal. Poorly soluble parenteral corticosteroids should be used only with regard for this complication.
