Abstract
“Prostitution is the world of four miseries; economic misery, emotional misery, cultural misery and sexual misery” (International Abolitionist Federation 1995: 6). As a Social Worker in the inner city, the author became acutely aware of the issues raised above through listening to prostituted women and their children. This paper describes her attempts to address the issues raised by setting up and running an advice and skills-based group for prostituted women with children. Feminist theory was used to inform the author's understanding of prostitution and her practice in the group. Keywords
