Abstract
The anodic dissolution of titanium carbide in has been examined by coulometric experiments and by the application of a rotating ring‐disk electrode. The latter technique has shown that the dissolution proceeds through the intermediate formation of Ti(III) ions, which undergo immediate oxidation to Ti(IV) at the electrode surface. Keywords
