Summary Vipera palestinae venom was fractionated by chromatography on DEAE cellulose. Two neurotoxic and three hemorrhagic fractions were obtained. The calculated recovery of total lethal activity was 75 per cent, about two-thirds of which was neurotoxic, one-third hemorrhagic. Correlations of biological activities of the various venom components are discussed. In addition to the known anticoagulant, a procoagulant accelerating the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin in the presence of thrombin was found.
